I will juxtapose the flipped classroom and traditional classroom models of instruction. I will reference research and anecdotal evidence to argue in favor of transitioning to the flipped classroom model to provide a more individualized and meaningful learning experience. Throughout my presentation, I will describe how I strategically use apps/technologies that Collierville Schools provides to complement in-class collaborative learning methods. Although many of the specific examples I will use pertain to the course I teach (chemistry), I will emphasize general applications for other courses and leave time for whole-group discussion to brainstorm benefits in other areas like English, math, social studies etc... My target audience is all middle school and high school teachers but really anyone is welcome to attend!
