In a sea of vibrant and engaged learners, it takes just one off-task student to avert our gaze and overtake our attention. Suddenly a successful lesson turns to us hyper-focused on why Johnny or Sally don’t like learning. Are these just bad eggs? Or are we missing something on our end? This session will provide teachers with the resources and skills to identify what motivational needs student might require to be successful. Examining “Will Drivers” and “the Four Tendencies” will more greatly equip educators with tools to identify their own motivational biases, as well as allow them to implement learning opportunities for students that will keep them motivated, and not just compliant
